Xiaomi Mi Mix is one of those rare jewels on the market that needs no introductions. An all-ceramic smartphone with an edge-to-edge screen is a device that draws all the attention. It's a high-tech dream come true and it sure looks like a Sci-Fi movie prop.
The Xiaomi Mi Mix has probably surpassed any other smartphone in terms of positive interest this season due to its amazing edgeless design that seems like a device from the future. While others competed in camera and chipsets, Xiaomi went for the most visible innovation - design.

With the breath-taking design comes great specs expectations, and the company tried its best to live up to those. The Mi Mix is powered by the Snapdragon 821 chip with either 4 or 6 gigs of RAM. There is a 16MP main camera with EIS and an unusually positioned 5MP selfie shooter. Finally, a 4,400 mAh battery should provide you with enough power autonomy.

Ceramic casing
Mi MIX has a unibody construction and comes in black only. The smartphone is made out of ceramics, including the back panel, the frame, and buttons. It is scratch resistant and wins 8.5 points on Mohs scale of hardness. Years of careful usage will hardly leave signs of dents and discoloration.
Futuristic display
Xiaomi Mi MIX features a staggering 6.4-inched IPS LCD edgeless display with 2040×1080 FHD resolution and 362 ppi pixel density. Display brightness is 500 nit, which allows to reduce power consumption and extend operating time. It will not leave user squinting to make out something on a sunny day. Mi MIX boasts 1300 : 1 contrast ratio, providing sharp and precise image quality. Screen to body ratio is 91.3 %.

In an attempt to make a screen workspace wider, the front-facing camera is made 50 % smaller and is relocated to the bottom of the screen. That is where proximity sensor also sits. Instead of regular speakers piezoelectric acoustic technology was applied.
Megascopic camera
The flagship was prepped with a 16 MP PDAF main camera with dual-LED flash and f / 2.0 aperture. It is able to record 4K / 1080p / 720p at 30 fps and roll in slow-motion at 120 fps. It also features autofocus phase detection, facial recognition, and panorama mode.
The 5 MP front snapper captures 1080p video, however, would be a real deal for photos. Though situated under the screen, the camera will rotate with the phone when a user wants to take a selfie.
Top-notch processor
Once again users can be guaranteed a possibility to operate several apps simultaneously and have a fast feedback. Xiaomi Mi MIX is powered with the latest generation of Qualcomm processors — quad-core Snapdragon 821 clocked at 2.35 GHz coupled with Adreno 530 graphics.
